Paris Texas.

Paris Texas.

Erin Wasson recently gave an interesting interview Into The Gloss online Mag recently. Speaking on Isabel Marant the designer de-jour,   She says:

' I don’t do the whole Isabel Marant thing. I love her as a person, and I think what she does is fucking amazing, but am I going to buy into a world of a French woman selling me what I grew up with? Do you know what I mean? Am I going to sign up for that? I’m sorry, but I’m not going to spend $1,200 on a Western shirt and go back to Texas and get it for five bucks. I meannn.'

I love Erin Wasson as a model so this quote was definitely food for thought. It's interesting how we pick up on certain trends or brands that promise a lifestyle aesthetic we do not always have access to. I do not live in Paris, but speaking of the French, have always found Parisian women to be the most chic. However, in the last 4 years my tastes have swayed more towards the northern hemisphere. Far north. The Swedish and the Danes have city-style down to a capital T. It's completely what I'm about but still with a French twist. Superior cut, Intense colour and simplicity, with a smattering of jewels and bold & interesting prints and textures.

Above is the packaged version of what I feel is the definition of Parisian Chic with a Swedish twist, or is it Swede Chic with a Parisian twist?

I can definitely understand the basis of Erin's feelings and also your movement with favouring the Swedish. I love all of the outfit pieces you've picked. Enough character without being 'themed' or over the top. The perfect balance and more real life wearable.
